Childbirth is a life changing event, especially if you are a first-time parent. Let us help you venture into this new phase of life through experiential learning with our Antenatal Class.

Our Childbirth Education Course (CBE) is the most comprehensive antenatal class. We highly recommend first time parents-to-be to attend. CBE consists of 3 parts:
E-Learning Portal
The course now comes with free access to our E-Learning portal until one month after your EDD. You can find the following in the E-Learning portal:
- schedule and links of the Theory Class (Zoom)
- Past Q&A
- Selected topics videos
- Doctor's videos about taking care of newborn exclusively for CBE
- Other learning resources.
Once you registered for the course we shall send you the login details to our E-Learning portal.
Theory Class via Zoom (4 hours per session)
Zoom class is conducted live by our Lactation Consultant once a month usually on the first Saturday of the month. You may attend multiple sessions or rejoin any session until one month after your EDD.
The Theory Class covers two main topics:
(a) Preparation for Childbirth (2 hours), includes:
- Nutrition & Preparation for childbirth
- Mommy's body
- Symptoms of delivery
- Pain Relief options
- Normal delivery/ Caesarean section delivery procedure
- Management of newborn
- Q&A
(b) Infant Feeding (1 hr 45 min), includes:
- Breastfeeding
- Handling of breastmilk
- Alternative feeding methods
- Common breastfeeding issues and management
- Q&A
Practical Class (3 hours) - Not more than 8 Couples
We emphasise personal coaching to ensure you master the techniques of breastfeeding and baby care. You should only attend Practical Class after 20th week of pregnancy as it contains light floor exercises. We keep our Practical Class size to 3-8 couples so that the trainer will have ample time to coach you personally. The Practical Class will cover:
- Pain Relief & Exercise (good for pre- and postnatal)
- Breastfeeding and Alternative feeding methods
- Baby Bath
- Baby Care: changing diapers, swaddling, baby vest and mitten, burping including handling of baby choking
Daddy and Mommy will each receive a baby doll to practise on baby care, baby bath and breastfeeding. We emphasize on hands-on and personal coaching to ensure you master the right techniques.

Registration
Practical classes are conducted on weekdays (usually Friday) and weekends including public holidays with different rate.
You will also receive a free Learning Kit worth $80 (Playmat, Thomson Baby Vest, Thomson Swaddle, Thomson Mittens, diapers, wipes) to be used in the Practical Class.
