Author Bio below.

Wong Chiang Yin, pseudonym: Jiang Xia Er Lang. Middle-aged, born and bred in Singapore. Ancestral hometown: Nanhai County where the city of Foshan is located in Guangdong Province. He has been a medical doctor for many years and a foodie for even more. He does not claim to be an epicure because there is a Chinese saying: “Only if one has been rich for more than three generations can one truly understand the finer aspects of eating and clothing.”

He is currently the Executive Director and Group CEO of Thomson Medical Group and is a public health physician by training. He obtained his undergraduate medical degree and Masters of Medicine (Public Health) from the National University of Singapore. Prior to that, he received his primary, secondary and junior college education from the Anglo-Chinese family of schools.

He has been a Council Member of the Singapore Medical Association for more than 20 years and was its President for three terms. Currently, he is also an Assistant Master of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, as well as a member of the Singapore Medical Council.
